ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a branch of Chinese Medicine where specific points on the body are stimulated by inserting thin needles into the skin. Drawing on the properties of electromagnetism, acupuncture needles work to restore the body back to its desired state of health.

Today acupuncture is one of the most popular practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the west. Dating back nearly 3,000 years, acupuncture has withstood the test of time existing relatively unchanged from it's original principles.

Acupuncture is used to treat nearly all conditions that a person would visit their primary care physician. When appropriate, standard medical care is used in conjunction with acupuncture. These are some of the common conditions acupuncture can treat: (But please note this list is not exhaustive, if you have questions if your condition would be helped by acupuncture, please call the office.)

  • Muscle spasms and pain anywhere in the body

  • Neck and back pain, acute as well as chronic

  • Headaches and migraines
