founder, Lindsay M. Kintop, L.Ac., Dipl. OM, RN, BSN
Lindsay Kintop believes in permanent wellness. Her 22 years on the front lines of intensive care units exposed her to modern-day healthcare — especially Western medicine, which tends to treat patient symptoms rather than their root causes. This gap in healthcare prompted an inquiry into a different approach.
In 2010, Lindsay pursued a Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at The New England School of Acupuncture in Boston. She absorbed the wisdom of Eastern medicine, which complemented her nursing background. This blend of modalities led to a truly holistic approach--and since 2014, Lindsay has been treating patients in just that way. Upon graduating from acupuncture school, Lindsay opened a practice in downtown Boston. It was known for its compassionate and professional care, and quickly garnered attention. Many looked to Lindsay as an expert in her field.
In 2018, she sold her practice there to move to Vermont and sought to establish a new healing center; Latitude Acupuncture and Wellness was born. The center’s purpose - and Lindsay’s - is to offer healthcare for a lifetime of well-being. Patients feel heard and cared for, and experience skilled treatment that results in complete healing--of the mind, body, and spirit.
Lindsay holds a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from the prestigious New England School of Acupuncture. She has a Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from Northeastern University, and is licensed by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM); the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation; and the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
LISA Laramee, LMT, Reiki master
Lisa was born with an innate draw to body work and energy healing. As a young girl she would massage her father’s shoulders at the end of his long work days. He said her hands were magic. And they are. Lisa uses a combination of massage and energy work to formulate a unique therapeutic session for every individual. She is passionate about helping people connect to their own ability to heal themselves through massage and energy work, something that’s very much in alignment with the mission here at Latitude.
Lisa is a true “Vermonter”, having been born and raised in Burlington. But she has lived in various parts of the country. In 2017 she had the opportunity to study massage at The Denver School of Massage where she completed a 750-hour program inclusive of 120 clinic hours. She sat and passed her Colorado licensing exams and has been working professionally ever since.
In addition to her massage therapy training, Lisa has achieved a Master’s Degree of the Usui System of Reiki Healing honoring the lineage of Usui, Hayashi, and Takata. This coursework spanned 3 years and was completed in 2022.
Lisa offers massage therapy and reiki sessions individually. If you’ve never experienced the healing power of reiki, you might consider a 15 minute reiki add on following your next massage.
When Lisa is not at Latitude, she can be found enjoying her garden, her granddaughter, and many active pursuits including yoga, running, and hiking. We are blessed to have Lisa on our team.
MacKenzie Coppola, RMT
MacKenzie grew up in Southern New Hampshire and most recently lived in the Lakes Region before relocating to Vermont. She and her wife were ready for a change and began exploring places that were new to both of them. Their first visit to Burlington was on a cold, snowy day, but they immediately felt a connection to the city. After many visits, they knew it was the right place and now call Burlington home.
MacKenzie was drawn to massage therapy through her own experience with its healing benefits. Massage has been an important part of her life since childhood, helping her manage chronic pain and move more freely. Inspired by the impact it had on her well being, she decided to enroll in massage therapy school and quickly developed a deep passion for the work.
Her approach focuses primarily on deep tissue massage while incorporating other modalities to best support each client’s needs. MacKenzie is trained in cupping therapy, prenatal massage, trigger point therapy, range of motion and passive stretching, and Ashiatsu massage. She blends these techniques to create personalized sessions that promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness.
Outside of the treatment room, MacKenzie enjoys hiking, four wheeling with her family, reading, sewing, and working on jigsaw puzzles. We are so happy to have MacKenzie as part of the team at Latitude.
